Child Nutrition Reauthorization Act of 2004 requires that every
school district enact a Wellness Policy covering meal guidelines,
nutrition education and other issues by the first day of the 2006-07
school year.

A.
Kellogg’s®
supports the Wellness Policy with a broad portfolio of
wellness products, bi-lingual nutrition education, nutrition
analysis, wellness product innovation for schools, segment
expertise, nutritious snack zone ideas and participation building
tools focused on nutrition education and physical fitness. The Menu
Honors and Smart Snack & Go programs provide implementation support
for wellness policies.

Kellogg partnering with Action for Healthy Kids?

Kellogg’s®
is committed to the health and well being of today’s
children. Schools are receiving much-needed assistance to implement
mandated “school wellness policies” thanks to a $275,000
Kellogg’s®
Corporate Citizenship Fund (KCCF) and Action for Healthy Kids. The
grant, awarded by the charitable arm of Kellogg Company, is being
used to support Action for Healthy Kids State Teams as they provide
technical assistance and other resources to school districts
implementing wellness policies over the next school year.
